How can one reconcile God's not compelling anyone to disbelieve with the Hadiths that indicate that God created people for Paradise and Hell, such as: "Indeed, the dweller of Paradise will have his life concluded with the deeds of the people of Paradise, no matter what deeds he may have done previously; and indeed, the dweller of Hell will have his life concluded with the deeds of the people of Hell, no matter what deeds he may have done previously"?

Allah Almighty does not compel anyone to obedience or disobedience. Rather, He commands obedience and forbids disobedience, and humans are given free will in their actions. Allah knows what His servant will choose, and He has written it before creating them. The phrase "created for the Fire its people" means that their destiny is the Fire due to what they chose by their disbelief, not that Allah created them to torment them. So, the "lam" (ل) here indicates outcome, not causation. As for someone who performs the deeds of the people of Paradise then their life concludes with the deeds of the people of the Fire, that is because their righteous deeds were done out of hypocrisy, not sincerity. Allah Almighty, therefore, keeps steadfast those sincere believers in their deeds.
