The husband's father is considered a mahram, before whom the wife may display her adornments and with whom she may be in seclusion, provided there is no fear of temptation. However, if there is any suspicion of impropriety from him, then it is not permissible for her to display her adornments before him or to be in seclusion with him; rather, he should be treated as a non-mahram.
