Is it permissible to prepare food for the family of a deceased Christian if they have prepared food for the family of a deceased Muslim?

It is permissible to prepare food for the family of a peaceful deceased Christian, as this falls under righteousness and kindness, which Allah has enjoined, saying: "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." [Al-Mumtahanah: 8]. And Allah loves those who act justly and are fair to people. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, enjoined good treatment of neighbors, and this includes both Muslim and non-Muslim neighbors, as indicated by the verse: "and the neighbor who is near of kin and the neighbor who is a stranger" [An-Nisa: 36]. Therefore, the commandment regarding neighbors includes both Muslims and non-Muslims.
