What is the difference between du'a (supplication) and talab (request)?

The term "request" is more general than "supplication" (du'a), encompassing command, prohibition, urging, and incitement. Supplication is a type of command, but it is from the lower to the higher. Supplication has been mentioned in the Quran with multiple meanings, including: worship, seeking aid, asking, speech, calling, and praise.
