Why do Salafist scholars deny the Ash'arite argument of origination (dalil al-huduth), and is it completely invalid from all perspectives?

The scholars among the followers of the Salaf rejected the proof of huduth (contingency/origination) that the Mutakallimun (scholastic theologians) used to deny the attributes of the Lord, claiming that He is not subject to hawadith (events/contingent occurrences). They hold that the proofs for the existence of the Lord and the origination of the universe are numerous and manifest. The Ash'aris have the proof of huduth and qidam (eternity) as their sole proof, and they used it to establish corrupt principles such as the denial of attributes. The correct statement is: "The universe is created, and every created thing must have a Creator." Ibn Taymiyyah extensively refuted this proof.
