Is it obligatory to stop memorizing the Qur’an if the failure to pay a previous debt causes forgetfulness and unanswered prayers?

True repentance involves resolving to return what is due when one is able to do so. A repentant person is not punished for their sin; rather, they are beloved to Allah. Strive in repentance and returning what is due according to your ability, and in memorizing the Qur'an and acting upon it, and its blessings will descend upon you.
