What is the ruling on one who says that whoever brings evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and this evidence leads to division, then his action is considered a Jewish religion?

Differences and divisions in religion are of two types: that which is permissible and that which is not permissible. As for issues upon which there is a consensus, whether in matters of creed or jurisprudential branches, disagreement is not allowed. However, regarding issues upon which the Ummah has not reached a consensus, disagreement in them is not blameworthy, such as the differences among the four Madhhabs (schools of thought). Indeed, a dissenter may even be praised if he is from the people of knowledge and his intention is the truth. Such differences occurred among the Companions and did not lead to deeming anyone an innovator or an infidel. Therefore, it is not permissible to accuse someone who follows the Qur'an and Sunnah and does not contravene consensus of being a Jew or of having brought a new religion.
