What is the ruling on performing anthems at graves?

It is not permissible to chant poems at graves, as this is a reprehensible innovation that contradicts the remembrance of the afterlife, and the states of brokenness and sadness. The Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, disliked raising voices near funerals. It is desirable to remain silent near graves while walking, to seek forgiveness for the deceased after burial, and to greet the inhabitants of the graves when passing by or visiting.
