Is it permissible for a high school student to pray to Allah to make him nothingness, out of fear of Hellfire and pain, with no interest in Paradise or this world? Is he considered sinful for this supplication? And is it possible for his prayer to be answered?

Allah Almighty is capable of reducing you to nothingness, but supplicating for that is impermissible, as it constitutes transgression in supplication (Du'a). Transgression in supplication means exceeding the limits, and supplicating that Allah reduces you to nothingness is considered transgression for several reasons:

1. An Invented Supplication with No Basis in Religion: There is no origin for it in Islamic law, and some jurists have considered this to be transgression. 2. A Supplication that Contradicts What Islamic Law Indicates Will Happen: Islamic law indicates that you will be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds, so it is not permissible to supplicate for something that contradicts this. 3. A Supplication for What Allah Almighty Does Not Usually Do: Such as asking Allah to remove from you the necessities of human existence or to grant you a child without a wife. For Allah does not do what is outside His customary ways.

It has been prohibited to supplicate for ordinary impossibilities or for what contradicts Allah Almighty's customary way (Sunnah) in His creation.
