Will the grandmother be sinful if she goes for Umrah and has not seen her orphaned grandchildren for seven months? And will their grandfather be sinful for cutting off their allowance, even though their mother is a teacher, in light of the mother inciting the children against their paternal family and cutting off communication?

If a mother incites her children against their grandfather and paternal uncles with falsehood, she is sinful, and she should instill love for them in their hearts, because a paternal uncle is like a father. However, if she does so out of fear that they will be corrupted by their grandfather's and paternal uncles' depravity, she is not sinful, and this is part of fulfilling Allah's right in their upbringing. Regarding the grandfather's cutting off of maintenance: if he is a guardian and spends from their money, he is not permitted to cut it off. But if he spends from his own money, he is not sinful, though his spending on them would be a great reward for him. We advise fearing Allah and seeking understanding, and that the children should visit their grandmother, and that each party should observe the rights of the other.
