Does the reward for reciting the Quran, engaging in dhikr, and offering food in the house of the deceased's children reach the deceased?

It has been previously explained that gathering to recite the Qur'an for the deceased is an innovation and a bid'ah, as it was not practiced by the Messenger or his companions. As for reciting the Qur'an without gathering and dedicating its reward to the deceased, scholars have differed regarding whether its reward reaches them, and the preponderant opinion has been clarified in previous fatwas.
