Mishkat al-Masabih by Al-Khatib Al-Tabrizi is an addendum and an elaboration on Al-Baghawi's book Masabih al-Sunnah. Al-Tabrizi added the name of the Companion who narrated the hadith and included a third section in each chapter. Al-Tabrizi divided each chapter into three sections: the first for what the two Sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) transmitted, the second for what others transmitted from the four Imams and the compilers of Musnad and Sunan works, and the third for hadiths that encompassed the meaning of the chapter, even if they were mawquf (stopped at a Companion). Al-Tabrizi added more than a thousand hadiths to the original work.
