The matter of marriage is not light, and a Muslim must reflect upon it before proceeding with it. Regarding divorce, the 'iddah (waiting period) is calculated from the time of uttering it or writing it with intention, and legal procedures are not taken into consideration. As for maintenance (nafaqah), if the divorce is revocable, you are entitled to maintenance and lodging. If it is an irrevocable divorce and you are pregnant, you are entitled to both; otherwise, there is no maintenance or lodging. If the divorce has not yet occurred, you are still his wife and have all conjugal rights.
