What is the meaning of "the seller is a guarantor"?

Guarantee (Dhaman) is the imposition of a right upon another. The seller's guarantee means he bears responsibility for any deficiency or defect in the sold item. If the sold item is damaged before being handed over to the buyer, or if a significant defect is found in it, then the guarantee falls upon the seller. If the sold item perishes before the buyer takes possession of it, then it perishes at the seller's expense, the sale becomes void, and the buyer gets his money back. However, if a third party damages it, the buyer has the choice either to annul the contract or to uphold it and demand a similar item or its value.
