Scholars differed on the permissibility for an agent to take from charity for themselves. The fatwa permits it if the agent is deserving, but it is more pious to refrain unless the owners of the charity are informed. Therefore, there is no sin upon you to take from the charities for yourself and your children if you are deserving. However, it is preferable to refrain from doing so, or to inform those who give charity of the situation if you wish to take for yourself.
