Does the husband bear the expenses of childbirth if a Khul' divorce occurs between the spouses while the wife is pregnant?

If a man divorces his wife with a revocable divorce while she is pregnant, he is obligated to provide for her, for the unborn child, and for the expenses of childbirth, by the consensus of scholars. This is based on the Almighty’s saying: (And if they should be pregnant, then spend on them until they deliver their burden), and because the unborn child is his offspring. However, if a woman seeks a Khul' divorce from her husband and absolves him from the maintenance of her pregnancy, then there is no maintenance for her or for the newborn. But if she does not absolve him, then she is entitled to maintenance.
