Is zakat annually obligatory on money saved for medical treatment and for supporting disabled children, and is it permissible to give this zakat to the children themselves?

Zakat must be paid on saved money if it reaches the nisab (approximately 85 grams of pure gold or 595 grams of pure silver), even if it is allocated for personal expenses. It is not permissible to give zakat to one's children because they are dependent on their father for their sustenance. Zakat and charity increase and grow wealth, and they are a means of healing from illnesses. One must put their trust in Allah, have a good opinion of Him, and not worry about the future.
