Who are the blood relatives whose visitation we have been commanded, and what are the impediments that prevent their visitation?

It was previously explained which kinship ties (rahim) are obligatory to maintain and which are recommended. The non-mahram kin, such as the paternal uncle's daughter and the maternal uncle's daughter, are to be maintained by sending greetings, gifts, and the like. It is forbidden for a non-mahram man to enter upon them, and it is forbidden to look at them or to be in seclusion with them.
