ما سبب عدم تطرق المذهب الحنفي إلى صلاة الغائب؟

The scholars of the Hanafi school of thought prohibited praying over an absent deceased person, stating that this was permissible exclusively for the Prophet, peace be upon him. They reasoned that facing the Qiblah (direction of prayer) for an absent person from the east would either place the deceased behind the worshipper or cause the worshipper to pray in a direction other than the Qiblah, both of which are impermissible. In contrast, Imam Al-Shafi'i permitted it, citing the Prophet's, peace be upon him, prayer over Al-Najashi as evidence.
