I fast Ramadan, but I do not pray. Is my fasting valid?

The fast of Ramadan and any other deed are not accepted when prayer is abandoned, because abandoning prayer is an act of disbelief (kufr), as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer." And nothing is accepted from a disbeliever, as Allah Almighty says: "And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did and make them as dust dispersed." And His saying: "If you associate others with Allah, then surely all your deeds will be in vain." Also, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever misses the 'Asr prayer, then his deeds have been rendered vain," meaning they are null and of no benefit. This encompasses both total invalidation for total abandonment and partial invalidation for partial abandonment. The advice is to immediately repent to Allah. Allah accepts repentance and rejoices in it, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin."
