Is it correct to say: "I have no intermediary other than Allah"?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is not permissible to express the lack of a helper and supporter other than Allah Almighty with the phrase: "I ask You by the right of the One who placed blessings in Your hands," because the status of Majesty (of Allah) is not befitting to be an intercessor with a created being. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen explicitly stated that this wording is of the same type as seeking Allah's intercession upon His creation, and that it is impermissible.
