What is the ruling on investing in Etihad Etisalat Company, knowing that there is a conflict in fatwas regarding it, and what losses have resulted for some people, and is it permissible or impermissible?

The fatwa regarding the impermissibility of working with usurious banks, and the ruling on "Cooperative Insurance," has not been changed. We also advised against contributing to telecommunications companies that are predominantly doubtful. We clarified that regarding the اختلاف العلماء (differences of opinion among scholars), whoever possesses knowledge should compare their sayings with evidence, while whoever does not possess such knowledge should ask people of knowledge whose knowledge and religiosity are trusted, and follow the most trustworthy and knowledgeable among them. It is not permissible to follow whims or to be lenient in issuing a fatwa.
