What is the ruling on using a VPN to conceal identity and circumvent websites that prevent certain nationalities from accessing their free or paid content? And is it permissible to watch non-free courses and use non-free software that one cannot afford to pay for, for the purpose of learning or earning?

We see no harm in using identity masking software for permissible matters, unless it leads to entering information that contradicts reality (lying), or violates the terms of the donor or benefactor in free courses and the like. This is because such actions are considered an infringement on their rights and consuming their wealth unlawfully, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." Some scholars differentiate between viewing non-free courses intended for earning money and those intended for personal benefit.
