Is it permissible to supplicate while the Imam is reciting?

The congregant must listen attentively when the Imam recites aloud during congregational prayers. They should not engage in supplication, remembrance, or recitation other than Al-Fatihah, for the Prophet said: "There is no prayer for one who does not recite the Opening of the Book (Al-Fatihah)." As for anything other than Al-Fatihah, one should not recite, supplicate, or remember, in compliance with the Almighty's saying: "And when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy," and the Prophet's saying: "Indeed, the Imam was appointed to be followed. So when he says 'Allahu Akbar,' then say 'Allahu Akbar,' and when he recites, then listen attentively."
