The book "Adab al-Dunya wa al-Din" (Etiquette of this World and Religion) is a beneficial book on ethics, religious virtues, and social manners. Its original title is "Kitab al-Bughyah al-Ulya fi Adab al-Din wa al-Dunya" (The Uppermost Goal in the Etiquette of Religion and this World). It is not a book of hadith, and a student of knowledge is not permitted to rely on it for hadith, as it does not concern itself with the chain of transmission (sanad) or the rank of the hadith, nor does it attribute it to its source. It presents hadith in the weakened form (ruwiya - it was narrated). The book cites hadith to strengthen a meaning or an idea, and it contains weak, fabricated, and baseless hadith, in addition to authentic hadith and those narrated in meaning. Therefore, it is not permissible to rely on it for hadith.
