A dream is not a legitimate source to be relied upon for building rulings. However, it may be a cause for the dreamer's awakening and repentance, as happened to Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both. Therefore, there is no harm in performing Umrah and giving charity on behalf of the mother, bearing in mind that what is seen in a dream is not a basis for establishing anything concrete.
