Are the prayers in which the worshiper did not say "Allahu Akbar" when rising from prostration to the resting posture, and then stood up without saying "Allahu Akbar," required to be repeated, especially since he was aware of this error and his negligence in asking about it at the time?

The transitional takbirat (recitations of "Allahu Akbar") accompany the movement in prayer; they should not precede or follow it.

Scholars have differed regarding the takbir for rising to the second or fourth rak'ah after the brief sitting (jalsat al-istirahah):

1. First opinion: The takbir occurs when rising from prostration, and then one stands up after the brief sitting without a takbir. 2. Second opinion: The takbir occurs when rising from the brief sitting to stand. 3. Third opinion: The takbir occurs when rising from prostration and extends until standing fully. This is the more preferred view according to Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen.

There is latitude in this matter, and there is no harm in the takbir occurring before or after the brief sitting. The Imam may prefer to delay the takbir until after the brief sitting so that the congregants can follow his movement.
