Is it permissible to ask Allah for death in relation to attaining the highest rank in Paradise?

A long life increases a believer's good deeds, and it is best for a Muslim to entrust their affairs to their Lord and be content with whatever Allah decrees, be it life or death. It is recommended to adhere to the supplication of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Keep me alive as long as life is good for me, and cause me to die if death is better for me." Wishing for death is not forbidden unless it is due to a harm that has afflicted the servant, though what has been mentioned is better.
