There is no objection to praying and prostrating on the aforementioned prayer rug if it compresses when the forehead is placed on it, allowing the forehead to settle firmly on the ground or what is connected to it. It is permissible to pray on carpets and rugs made of wool, hair, animal fur, and other pure materials.
