What should I do now that I have learned that I did not complete the Sa'i of Hajj, thinking that the Sa'i of Umrah was sufficient, especially since my maternal uncle has passed away? Am I required to assume ihram for the new Umrah from the miqat after performing the previous Sa'i? And what is the ruling on my marriage throughout these years if I did not exit the state of ihram?

She who left out the Sa'y due to ignorance and then returned to her country must go back to Makkah to perform the Sa'y, because she is still in a state of ihram, and the second 'tahallul' (release from ihram restrictions) is not complete without it. Her mother is subject to the same ruling as her. As for her deceased maternal uncle, it is not prescribed to complete the rituals on his behalf, according to the more preponderant opinion. The first 'tahallul' has already occurred since only the Sa'y remains, so nothing is forbidden except sexual intercourse, its مقدماته (preliminaries), and the marriage contract. Any transgressions of ihram prohibitions that occurred during the period of ignorance are excused.
