What is the ruling on a wife using social media, creating a Facebook account, collecting donations through it, and communicating with an unfamiliar man for this purpose without her husband's knowledge?

It is permissible for a wife to use social media for da'wah (calling to good) and righteous deeds, and she will be rewarded for it if she adheres to the Shariah controls. However, she must obey her husband if he forbids her from doing so, for his obedience takes precedence over the obedience of her parents. It is not permissible for a wife to go out to meet a non-mahram man without her husband's permission. In fact, it is not permissible even with the husband's consent if the meeting leads to a Shariah prohibition, such as khalwa (private seclusion with a non-mahram) or fitna (temptation).
