If the engineer's right against his sponsor is established with certainty, it is permissible for him to take the value of the seeds if it is less than his right, and it is permissible for his colleague to help him obtain his right. This is known as the issue of al-Zafar (gaining one's right), where it is permissible for someone who gains access to his right to take it, even without the debtor's knowledge, based on the Almighty's saying: "So whoever commits aggression against you, then aggress against him in like manner as he aggressed against you."
