Is it permissible to describe Allah as "great" (Kabeer), knowing that Allah has not described Himself as such, and with the belief that "there is nothing like Him"?

One of the most important matters is knowing Allah by His names and attributes. Allah has named Himself "the Most Great" (Al-Kabeer) in several places in the Holy Quran, such as: (Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Most Great, the Most High) and (And He is the Most High, the Most Great). The meaning of "Al-Kabeer" is that He is greater than everything in essence, power, might, and majesty, and that He is exalted above all evil, and everything besides Him is small and insignificant. Allah has commanded His glorification (takbeer) in the Quran and Sunnah, and takbeer has been legislated in prayers and a number of acts of worship. It is among the words most beloved to Allah Almighty.
