هل "جماعة الدعوة والتبليغ" و"الصوفية" من الفِرَق الضالة؟

The terms "Sufism" and "Sufi" are recent innovations, with no absolute legal praise or condemnation attached to them in the Sharia. Rather, their true nature must be investigated in detail. They may include matters that Allah and His Messenger love, and thus are commanded, or matters that Allah and His Messenger dislike, and thus are forbidden, or matters that are permissible or disliked.

In our time, most paths of those who affiliate themselves with Sufism involve prohibitions and polytheistic innovations, such as invented festivals and mawlids (celebrations of the Prophet's birthday), exaggeration in venerating shaykhs, and attachment to shrines and graves, which necessitates warning against them.
