Masturbation is forbidden (haram), and its sin is magnified in Ramadan. However, it does not invalidate the fast unless there is certainty of semen discharge. If the questioner is unsure whether semen was discharged, then her fast is valid, and she is not required to make up the days about which she was uncertain. Delaying the make-up fast due to ignorance or forgetfulness does not necessitate expiation (kaffarah).
