Is it permissible to take money from a brother who earns it through unlawful means?

If your friend's brother's money is a mixture of lawful (halal) and unlawful (haram) sources, and is not purely unlawful, then there is no harm for your friend in dealing with him, accepting his gift, and other similar permissible dealings.
