What is the religious ruling on a civil servant working in the lottery department of the post office, knowing that his monthly salary is fixed by the state and he receives nothing from the lottery money?

Allah has forbidden gambling (lottery) and associated it with intoxicants in His saying: "O you who have believed, indeed intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may succeed." Working in the lottery department is assisting in a forbidden act. The duty is to request a transfer to another department or seek permissible work.
