Is it permissible, from a Sharia perspective, to write a document in which cousins disavow their cousin who has a bad reputation, including the text: "We, the undersigned, sons of (so-and-so), hereby declare our complete disavowal of our brother (S.), before everyone, from any financial, tribal, or legal consequences and obligations; consequently, he alone bears all of that, and Allah is the source of intention"?
There is no harm in disavowing a person's bad deeds and showing disapproval of them, for Allah the Almighty says: "But if they disobey you, then say, 'Indeed, I am disassociated from what you do.'" An exception to this is what the Sharia has made obligatory upon his kin, such as the blood money for accidental killing.
