Is a marriage considered null and void if it took place two weeks after an illicit relationship that resulted in pregnancy, followed by an abortion of the fetus, and then a four-month waiting period before consummation, and must the husband be informed of this after ten years and having had children?

The validity of marrying a pregnant woman due to fornication is a matter of scholarly disagreement. The Hanafis and Shafi'is consider it valid, while the Malikis and Hanbalis deem it invalid. One may adopt the view of the Hanafis and Shafi'is regarding the validity of the marriage, especially after a long period has passed since the عقد (marriage contract). The children from such a marriage are attributed to their father as long as the spouses believed in the validity of the marriage. There is no need to renew the contract, nor is it necessary to inform the husband of what transpired. Rather, concealment (ستر) and sincere repentance (التوبة النصوح) are required.
