Is continuing to supplicate for the fulfillment of a wish, despite a dream that might be interpreted as its not coming true, considered an objection to God's decree or a lack of proper reverence towards Him?

One must strive to fulfill the means and persist in supplication (Du'a), for it is part of Allah's decree and destiny and a sign of servitude. If what is being supplicated for pertains to transient worldly matters, one should not become excessively attached to it with the heart, for the world is imperfect and does not remain pure for anyone. One should be content with divine decree and seek reward from Allah, for this world was created for trials. One should not rely on visions and dreams for making decisions, but rather depend on Allah and persist in supplication. If the matter brings one closer to Allah, then one must persist in it while taking the necessary means; and if it is merely a worldly عرض (offering/thing), then one must entrust the matter to Allah and engage in what is beneficial.
