What is the ruling on someone who says in a discussion, "You've made someone abandon their religion"?

If a person says, "You've made someone abandon their religion," then if they truly intended to abandon their religion due to others' words, they have apostatized and committed disbelief. Likewise, if they intended to abandon their religion, or wavered in it, or made it conditional on a future event, they disbelieve immediately. However, if they did not intend a true abandonment of religion, but rather sought to exaggerate the intensity of provocation, implying that it almost made them lose their temper, then they do not disbelieve by that. Nevertheless, it is an ugly exaggeration that issues only from fools. One should be cautious of such words, which might lead their speaker to ruin without them realizing it, for a person might fall into Hellfire due to a word they utter carelessly.
