What is the ruling on using emoticons and expressive images in the LINE application that contain cartoonish figures such as a bear or a rabbit, and have hands and feet?

The default ruling is the prohibition of drawing complete images of living beings, according to the majority of scholars. However, some scholars permit incomplete images (such as only the head and chest), small images, and images where the facial features are not clear. Some also hold the view that the prohibition is specific to images that are venerated. Based on this, there is no harm in using emojis (faces) because they fall under the permissible types. And whoever abstains from them out of piety has done well.
