How authentic is the Hadith of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) liked ath-thufal," and does eating ath-thufal, which is what remains of food at the bottom of the pot, cause cancer?

The narration regarding the Prophet's admiration for ath-thufl was reported by Ahmad and others, and authenticated by Al-Albani. Abbad interpreted ath-thufl as the sediment of broth, while Said ibn Sulayman interpreted it as leftover food. Al-Bayhaqi preferred the view that it is a saying attributed to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). There has been a difference of opinion regarding the interpretation of ath-thufl; some said it means ath-tharid (a dish of bread and meat broth), and others said it means what remains of food at the bottom of the pot. The intended meaning of ath-thufl that the Prophet (peace be upon him) admired is food that has been well-cooked, not burnt food, which doctors warn against.
