Is it permissible for a Muslim to trade in non-forbidden goods during non-Muslim holidays that involve carrying sacred statues?

The general rule is that it is permissible to engage in transactions with disbelievers, such as buying and selling, unless it involves the sale of something prohibited like alcohol, or a forbidden transaction like usury, or assisting them in something prohibited. It is disliked to sell items that disbelievers use in their festivals, such as food and clothing. Therefore, it is preferable to avoid selling anything that aids them in celebrating their festivals, unless doing so would result in harm.
