Is it permissible for a husband and wife to address each other as "Mama" and "Baba"?
A man should not call his wife "mama," because it means "O my mother," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade such a thing. Abu Dawud narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, "heard a man calling his wife 'O my sister' and forbade him from doing so."
