What is the meaning of Allah Almighty's saying: "no proof for it" in the verse: "And whoever invokes, besides Allah, another deity for which he has no proof"?

The meaning of "he has no proof for it" is that there is no argument, no evidence, and no clear sign for the claim of polytheism (shirk). This constraint is necessary for anyone who calls upon other than Allah; for it is impossible to establish proof for the divinity of anyone other than Allah the Almighty. Indeed, proofs have demonstrated the falsehood of this, and the one who claims it will be held accountable by his Lord, and the disbelievers will not succeed.
