Is it permissible for the supplicant to say in his supplication, "immediately, not belatedly" (عاجلاً غير آجل), when supplicating for rain or healing?

There is no objection to the supplicant saying, "soon rather than later" (ʿājilan ghayra ājil) in any supplication. Its practice has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the supplication for rain (Du'a al-Istisqa'), where he said: "O Allah, grant us rain, abundant and nourishing, pleasant and fertile, beneficial and not harmful, soon rather than later." This expression does not contradict the prohibition against being impatient for the answer, which means that the supplicant says: "I supplicated, but I was not answered."
