Is it permissible to relinquish ownership of a company in exchange for a sum of money, or to relinquish sponsorship of each worker in exchange for a sum of money for transfer of sponsorship, knowing that the owners of the companies are the ones who pay this amount?

There is no objection to selling the establishment and assigning it for compensation. The workers will fall under its sponsorship, and unused visas will be included as part of the compensation. It is obligatory to observe laws that are in conformity with Sharia rulings. Sheikh Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Majid permitted the sale of contracting establishments that include workers, visas, and trade names.
