What is the ruling on the saying: "If I knew, O humankind, what fate holds for me, I would pluck out my heart and replace it with a heart of stone"?

This phrase indicates discontent and dissatisfaction with Allah's divine decree and destiny. A true Muslim is content and submits to Allah's rulings and endures them, knowing that there is good in them, even if his intellect falls short of perceiving it. As Allah Almighty says: "No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart." Alqamah said: "It is the servant who is afflicted by a disaster and knows that it is from Allah, so he is content and submits." It is befitting for a Muslim, when afflicted by a calamity, to say: "Allah has decreed and what He willed He has done," or His Almighty saying: "Say, 'Never will anything befall us except what Allah has decreed for us. He is our protector.' And upon Allah let the believers rely."
