Is the love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that reaches the point of wishing to see him, and wishing you were one of his wives, forbidden? And is it permissible to continue with it?

Love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is one of the pillars of faith. It is cultivated by reflecting on his biography and following his methodology. Love is not mere slogans; rather, its reality lies in following him, peace and blessings be upon him. Be diligent in acquiring beneficial knowledge and acting upon it, hoping to see him in the hereafter. As for wishing to have lived in his era or to have been one of his wives, it is better to be content with Allah's decree and to strive diligently to earn His pleasure. Indeed, Al-Miqdad ibn Al-Aswad disapproved of a man's wish to have seen the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in his era, explaining that Allah might honor those who did not live during the Prophet's time by sparing them the trials that his companions experienced, and that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent during the most challenging circumstances and distinguished between people by the truth.
